3 story brick bldg. has 100 people out front. Downstairs is a grocer. Between 2nd & 3rd floors is a sign "Burlington & Mo River R.R. In Nebraska". Inked into image "B. & M. R.R. Offices, Omaha, 1882". This line was Incorp. in 1865 & ran 191 miles. Changed names in 1880's. A rare artifact from an obscure RR.

A huge bass drum painted "The Original Cow-Boy Band/ Dodge City", a star & "U.S." At left is cowboy & band's banner (hard to read). A big crowd, bldgs. and soldiers. ID'd member's name in ink. End of WWI era. Framed & a mat. Arced 6" image crack at right (can be easily laid down). Photographed in downtown Kansas City, MO.

She's ID'd from another image I have: Little Cloud (Cheyenne). He is ID'd in THIS image as "Cheyenne, Chief Bull Bear". Photo by B.F. Waite, Brooklyn, NY. I believe they are Wild West Show performers.

Although it appears to be an original photo, it was actually changed by the photographer by adding full color & applying a special process somewhere between a real photo & a litho. This quicker method was necessary because series of Indian pictures were sold to the masses through magazine ads for $1.00 each.
