6 small flap pockets & 1 large one with snap closures. A long cloth billet & 1892 patent metal catch has a flower design. Maker marked from Des Moines, IA. Holds gold dust, nuggets. A place for folded currency & other papers. Belt 29" (plus billet). Exc. cond. (Cat. #16560)

Much rarer than the belts with pockets for coins. Tan leather shows age but is solid. I've left it dry but you can add lesther preservative if desired. A flap by buckle (flap button gone) covers opening for nuggets. Belt billet covers flap when belt is buckled. Total length 36". Superb gold rush item. (Cat. #16433)

Two cloth shoulder straps to ease strain of gold dust/nuggets. 3 buckles show "Patent 1855". Several pockets have outlines from $20 gold coins! The condition is outstanding. Slight soiling and use. a. Pendant medal, gold color. Pin bar: "60/E.F. Long". Round medal: "Presented by Mt. Olive L.U. (labor union) 728, U.M.W. of A." (United Mine Workers of Amer.) Crossed pick & shovel, clasped hands & "4 killed, 6 wounded". "Reminder of Miners Massacre, Virden, Ill, Oct. 12, 1898".
